This branch has terrible customer service. If you need status or an update do not expect a call or email, you will be the one calling then will get the run around.

I'm a platinum member at TFCU, with an 800+ credit rating. In addition, I've been a member for 20+ yrs, never missing a payment on any TFCU loans such as auto, mortgage, home equity etc.
A few months ago, I went to the Rocky Point branch to secure a used car loan. They advertised a rate of 1.99% for this loan. I got the biggest runaround from these people. They denied me the advertised rate and could not give me a single reason for the denial. They became vague and rude when I questioned the loan denial. Finally, I took my case to a manager in Farmingville, Once again, I had to plead my case. He approved my loan after realizing that I wasn't going away. To date, the only reason I rec'd for the loan rejection was that other people, with the same profile as me, have been denied the advertised rate. That's ridiculous. To me, it has all the appearances of false advertising. If I don't qualify for the advertised rate, with my profile, who does? This entire process was very frustrating and I didn't appreciate the way I was treated. Why should I continue to keep my money with TFCU, when I get treated with disdain. Even with my long seamless association with your bank, I was treated as a total stranger.
I will be shopping for a bank that treats their depositors with respect and honesty.
By the way, I am the kind of person who rarely, if ever, sends in feedback. Hope you now can understand my frustration .

I have been a customer of tfcu for at least 15years. I prefer to check my accounts by phone. Your new phone service is the worst. Before it would take me a minute to do my banking is now longer and VERY frustrating. Go back to the old automated system . I don't want to hear my entire account number the s1,S2 WAS much better. Unfortunately if this system is not corrected I will be taking my business elsewhere.
